My name is Kayla Ellington, and I am one of the gifted specialist at Allentown Elementary School. I am a native of Detroit, MI, and this is my 7th year living in Mobile. Prior to moving to Mobile, I taught in Detroit, Los Angeles and the United Arab Emirates. I earned my bachelors degree from the University of Michigan and a masters degree in curriculum and assessment from Marygrove College. In 2019, I earned a masters degree in gifted education from Troy University. As I enter my 18th year of teaching, I am excited about both the challenges and successes that are to come.
